It's Mother's Day, and WE SHALL TREAT OURSELVES. Preferably starting with these Grace & Stella Bath Rocks.

I have to start this post with a disclaimer. I know Mother's Day is hard for some of y'all. And for you, I wish I could reach through this computer and give you your OWN DANG mother's day gift. You deserve it. Because you've had to do the hardest work of all. You've had to deal with grief. Or loss. Or maybe you've had to learn to be a mother, when you never had a great example from which to learn. And you are badasses. All of you

Now imagine I am giving you a big hug, a giant box of cupcakes, and a gift certificate for a day-long massage. (None of this 50 minute BS, which is clearly not enough.)

And for those of you who will have sticky little fingers making your breakfast this Sunday, creating precious (to you) handmade cards, and generally spilling coffee all over your new white bedspread, well....enjoy it, mamas. I wish for you a day full of love, hugs, and some time to yourself in which you may or may not do the following:

1. Binge watch the Housewives. While eating a bucket of chocolate.

2. Go get a foot massage. Or 3.  (While eating a bucket of chocolate.)

3. Go drink with other fun moms who make you laugh, AND make you feel less crazy. (While eating a bucket of chocolate.)

4. Feel zero guilt about taking time for yourself. It's the one day a year that's all about you. (Other than your birthday. Or a really stressful day. Or maybe just the random Monday. Ahem.)

Dear husbands (especially mine),

Do yourself a favor, and get your AMAZINGLY awesome wives and mamas a gift from this list. None of this appliance/socks/homemade coupon books. NO. (Unless she has very specifically asked for this. In words. Not in a conversation you imagined.)  You're welcome.

P.S. a bucket of chocolate never hurts.

Until next time,
