Slip dresses have always been a closet staple because they are PERFECT pieces for layering…and they never go out of style! Believe it or not, they have truly stood the test of time. As of 2024, the current variation of slip dress that is catching the attention of the runway and most shops is the vintage, lace variation that almost resembles nightwear. This look is soft and delicate, which pairs well with the thinner accessories that seem to be trending alongside it, like kitten heels and small clutches. If you’re looking for something beyond ordinary, try to look for styles that incorporate sequins, floral embellishments, frilly lace, or even multiple layers. Whether you choose a printed style that acts as an eye-catching money piece or a basic slip that can be worn a hundred different ways, slip dresses will always bring a bit of modern femininity to your closet. A good thing to remember is that anything under the slip dress should be fitted because, given the silky-satin fabric of a classic slip, any creases or fabric that is bulkier will show right through. They work well for late-night dates, wedding attire, or as an easy excuse to avoid shorts.

Fly Away with Peter Pan Collars

The flat, rounded neckline traces back to the actress Maude Adams in her role in the 1905 Broadway production of Peter Pan. This mischievous fashion trend has reappeared in almost every era. It qualifies under preppy styles, babydoll, and even now as light daywear. Though the designs might differ, the appeal is the same: Peter Pan collar shirts invite childlike whimsy into grown-adult wardrobes and can be worn by women of all ages! If you like to walk the fine line between adolescence and adulthood, this sweet style is balanced by our affinity to bring back old styles and modernize them. This fun juxtaposition of taking an inherently youthful style makes it more intriguing and more aligned with high fashion looks. An easy way to incorporate these into your wardrobe if you’re looking is by just grabbing a fun top. The best part about these collars (especially white ones) is that they can be layered under other pieces to elevate them, like a plain dress or maybe a colorful sweater. The Adidas Craze

If you tried to tell me that you’ve never seen or heard of these shoes…I’d have to say you’ve been living under a rock. Sorry—not sorry! The Adidas craze started at the end of 2023 and hasn’t stopped. The OG Adidas Samba has been the it-shoe for a while, and many people have been trying to explore other options or ways to branch out from the basic black and white. While I love a good neutral shoe like the next girly, the similar yet—slightly more fun Adidas Gazelle Bold happens to be one of my favorites. Why?? Well. For starters, it has a nice thick base to it, so if you’re short or just feel like the chunky sneaker look suits you better, this is your best bet. I’ve also done a bit of research myself and found that these are much more comfortable than the regular Gazelle and Samaba. My favorite reason I prefer these shoes… I mean, just look at them! They come in HUNDREDS of colorways—I’ve included my favorite color combos and a nice neutral option at the end—so you’ll never run out of options if you’re trying to match to a specific outfit or if you’re just addicted to color!
