Picking The Perfect Gift For This Mothers Day

With Mother’s Day approaching soon, I thought it would be fun and useful to share some gift ideas with you all. I have come up with three categories that your mom may fit in some way, so you know which type of gift to buy! If she’s a mix of all three, then you’re in luck with more options!

  1. The Sporty Mom:

Whether your mom is constantly at the ball-park, or being active herself, she may enjoy these gifts.

  • Apple Watch 7: The series 7 is the most durable Apple watch yet, so she won’t have to worry about dirt or a cracked screen as much. Another great feature your mom might appreciate about this watch is it has a bigger screen than ones in the past! This is good for moms who may be having vision trouble with technology. It still carries the same health, safety, and convenience features as other Apple watches which you can read about more here. Along with the Apple watch, an alternate option is the Fitbit. This watch is a cheaper option, which is always great. Fitbit is also having a sale on the Versa 3 watch, which features a lot of similarities to the Apple watch. If your mom might not “need” all of the fancy Apple watch functions, then maybe lean towards the Fitbit! Overall, both are great for tracking fitness, whether it’s how many steps/miles you walk in a day, or what your heart rate is.

  • New tennis shoes: the options are limitless in regards to tennis shoes. Some of my favorite brands are On Cloud, Asics, Brooks, New Balance, etc. Maybe you can take your mom out on a shopping date and have her try on shoes from these different brands! It’s really important to make sure the shoes fit her feet correctly, because that will play into the comfort and durability of them.

  • Tickets to her favorite team: This gift can create such long-lasting memories and is sure to surprise her! From the Braves to the Falcons, or whoever her favorite team is that’s near you, there are many opportunities to attend a sporting event.

  • Athleisure Wear: An all-time favorite gift to give is something you know will be used often. Any type of workout gear or comfortable clothes to run errands in are a go-to for me. If you’re looking for a sale, Lululemon typically has great finds on their “We made too much” tab, as well as Nordstrom’s athletic section. Mother’s Day is all about supporting your mom and showing appreciation to her. What better way to do that than getting her clothes she can rely on to be great quality and feel great when she wears them.

  1. The Beauty Queen Mom:

Makeup, or similar products, is such a simple, but thoughtful option for your Mother’s Day gift. If your mom is into Ulta or Sephora sprees, definitely get her a gift card so she can get the things she’s always wanted to test out! Ulta has their own gift guide featuring many options for makeup, perfume, skincare and other self-care products. The options are split into price ranges to make your searching experience convenient.

  • Some of my favorites from Ulta right now are the Olaplex shampoo and conditioners, Laura Mercier loose powder, Morphe setting spray, and any liquid bronzer or blush. As the temperature is rising quickly, leading into summer, it’s best to have light makeup! Tinted moisturizers are key, especially ones that are made with sunscreen. Another great thing about ordering makeup from Ulta is you can receive points and also free shipping with orders over $35. You won’t have to worry about that extra shipping cost, but make sure you order in time for it to arrive by Mother’s Day!

  1. The Reader:

Who doesn’t love a good book? If your mom is a book fanatic, buying her a couple of books you think she’d like would be a great gift. It’s something she can keep forever, and also maybe even let you borrow when she’s finished reading! Something that can go along with her new books is a fun tote bag to carry them in. Canvas/tote bags are really on-trend right now, so it would be cute to accessorize with.

  • Paper books not your thing? No problem. This back lit, compacted tablet can store over 1,000 books! With prices ranging from less than $100, the Kindle could be a great option for a mom who may travel often, or just loves reading in bed at nighttime. Its battery-life is also incredible, lasting up to a week without charge.

Overall, I hope you are able to celebrate your mom and everything she has done for you and your family! If you are becoming a mom, or are a mom right now, this day is for you! Treat yourself and let yourself accept support and love from other people. Your work is appreciated and your family and friends wouldn’t be the same without you! As always, thank you for reading and supporting me. Please feel free to share your Mother’s Day gifts you give, or receive, this year.
