Summer Bathing Suits That Are ACTUALLY Cute
With the kids being out of school, you may be spending more time than you want wearing a bathing suit this summer. None of us have enough time to go around town trying on bathing suits, but it’s also a pain to make returns from all the online orders it takes to find ONE bathing suit we don’t hate. We know that just because you’re a mom, you don’t have to wear the boring, outdated swimsuits that are marketed as “mom swimsuits.” However, it may not be appropriate to wear the same swimsuit you wore on your college spring break to a children’s pool party. Okay… I know these are on the pricier side, but a girl can dream… I recently discovered this brand (SAME LOS ANGELES) and it’s safe to say I’m obsessed. They are a bit expensive, but these are extremely high-quality pieces. You definitely get the value that you pay for with these swimsuits. I did a little research on the brand and discovered that they hand make all of their fabric in LA using Italian swim fabrics. The company was also created by a fellow blogger named Shea Marie. I linked two of my favorites, but all of her swimsuits give a luxe, classy vibe that’s perfect for us moms.
Bikinis
Bikinis can be very hit or miss these days, but these were two of my favorites. Plus, both of these suits are on sale right now, which means you’re basically saving money by getting them, and have to purchase them immediately. Both suits are high waisted, which makes them super flattering. However, they are definitely not “mom swimsuits.” They both have fun, unique elements that make them super chic and fashion-forward.
Preppy
Want to look expensive without breaking the bank? These suits are for you. I grouped these two suits together because they are classy, yet still stand out with bright, fun colors. They have great coverage, so they are perfect for playing in the sand or the water with your little ones.
Fashion Statements
If you really want to make a statement (or embarrass your children) the next time you go to the pool, these suits are for you. I love how they both have a low neckline (deterring it from being a “mom swimsuit”), but still provide coverage in the middle. I included the blue swimsuit in my last swimsuit post in 2019, but decided to include it again because it has withstood the test of time. The knot on the white swimsuit and the detail on the blue swimsuit give these one-pieces a unique touch. These suits will ensure you aren’t a regular mom… you’re a cool mom. These swimsuits range from $16-$33, which is such a steal for swimsuits these days. However, they are just as cute as some of the more expensive ones I listed above. They are all super flattering and perfect for all shapes and sizes. I made sure to include a variety of necklines in this section to appeal to different body types.

Trends may come and go, but just like everyone needs a little black dress, everyone needs a little black swimsuit. Because of its dark color, black swimsuits tend to be the most forgiving and slimming swimsuits on the market. Embellish your black swimsuit by adding some fun gold jewelry and a straw hat.
As a mom during the summer, you never know what you will be up to: pool parties, waterparks, or spontaneous beach trips. So you might as well just order some of these swimsuits to have on hand just in case you need them..
