Seven Sneaker Staples To Kick Off The School Year

It’s that bittersweet time of year where the kids are going back to school, and the end of summer is finally in sight. Although the days are still unbearably hot, it is nice to get back into a consistent routine. The time spent preparing for kids to go back to school is filled with teacher meet-and-greets, nerves, excitement, and most of all, shopping. Not only do you have to navigate those school supply lists that seem to get larger and more expensive every year, it seems that kids always end up needing entire new wardrobes with each coming school year. It got me thinking…if we get the kids a fresh pair of sneakers every year for school, when is it time for mom to get new sneakers? I decided today is that time. Therefore, once again, I scoured the internet, from Instagram ads to British Vogue, and compiled a list of my favorite sneaker finds.

These days, wearing sneakers is becoming more popular than ever. People are sporting sneakers with dresses, skirts, and even business attire. I can’t even count the amount of times I've been walking around Buckhead during the daytime and seen businessmen wearing full suits paired with a pair of casual white sneakers. It seems like people are finally realizing that tall Stilettos and strappy sandals with no arch support are just not worth it! As a mom, I'm constantly moving around and running errands all day, so I have no time for uncomfy shoes. Because of that, I'm always wearing sneakers, so I'm always in need of a new pair.

Rage Against The Basic White Sneaker

I feel like I’ve seen dozens and dozens of brands coming out with yet another plain white sneaker. White soles, white laces, and white canvas. While basic white sneakers are versatile and good for professional settings, I wanted to find some shoes that stand out. I found unique shoes from a few familiar brands and also some new ones. One of the worst things to happen when you buy new shoes is discovering that everyone else has the exact same pair. If you purchase any of the shoes in this article, it is unlikely that will happen to you. With these shoes, you are sure to stand out and get lots of compliments.

Whether you’re looking to save or splurge, there is a shoe here for everyone. Happy shopping!

Dolce Vita

$150.00

These funky shoes add the perfect pop of color to any outfit. I also love the platform because it adds extra comfort.

Gola

$80.00

My friend recently told me about this brand and I am obsessed. I did some research on the brand and found out they have been around in England since 1905. I can’t believe I had never heard of them! Their brand looks so effortlessly classic, and you can’t beat that price point. I could definitely see Gola making a huge statement in the US in the coming years-so go ahead and purchase a pair!

Superga

$88.95

Superga can often get placed in that “basic white sneaker” category. However, this pair stands out. The roped platform detail makes this shoe perfect for vacation.

Allsaints

$74.00

Although this shoe has a pretty standard design, the color makes it stand out. Silver is coming back into trend this season, so its the perfect time to buy.

P448

$94.47

It’s safe to say I am obsessed with these shoes. Although it is still 80 degrees outside, I will definitely be purchasing these for fall/winter.

Golden Goose

$487.00

Okay, I know what you’re thinking. What could possibly make these shoes worth over $400? To be honest, I couldn’t tell you. However, Golden Gooses are all the rage right now, so I included a pair.

Tory Burch

$288.00

This style of shoe is called the ladybug-how cute is that? Although they look nothing like a ladybug, they are still an adorable pair of shoes.
