well, my original plan today was to write about some of my August favorites. But I have to be honest, with Hurricane Harvey slamming the Texas coast this month, I'm just can't say I'm wild about August in general.  

(Harvey, you are most definitely NOT a favorite.) 

Anyway, since I know you guys have GREAT BIG GENEROUS HEARTS, I wanted to share a couple of ways to donate to relief efforts for our friends in Texas. I am always a big fan of giving to the American Red Cross. They are basically the Olivia Pope of major disasters over there, and they will HANDLE IT.

There's also this fun thug life texas strong shirt . Proceeds will go to the Houston United Way, and the Houston Food Bank. You'd better believe one of these is on it's way to my house.

Finally, for all of us professional shoppers out there (act like it's a thing), here's a fabulous round up of charities that have posted Amazon Wishlists, including animal shelters, refugee services, and the Texas diaper bank (among others). 

Y'all, let's use our shopping fingers for GOOD, and not for running up our Nordstrom credit card balances.
