beauty faves + a giveaway
Y'all. I think we all know that I'm not what you would call a "beauty blogger." If we're being real honest, I'm more of what we would call "focus on the clothes because makeup is confusing" kind of blogger.
But, I have ALWAYS loved and appreciated great skincare products. Not to mention, I have confused the heck outta my skin by trying every potion I can get my hands on. Therefore, I am deeming myself a skincare expert. (Also, you should understand that this title of "expert" exists only in my mind.)
Little backstory here guys....about 2 years ago, I started hearing people talk about Beautycounter and switching to safer skincare products. I'll be honest, I'm all about the safe skincare, but they kinda had me at the cute packaging. #typicalsherri
So, I went to a party, got hooked on some BC goodies, and haven't looked back. Now. Allow me to disclaimer for minute here: I do not sell Beautycounter. Not because I don't love it, but mainly because when you've had like 16 jobs in the last 10 years, it's important NOT TO CONFUSE PEOPLE. For example, don't go be a social worker/real estate agent/stylist/blogger, and then be all like HEY I SELL BEAUTYCOUNTER TOO. Because people will be all whaaaa? And SETTLE DOWN SHERRI.
However, because I love you guys and I find it important to overshare my love for things that I OVERLY LOVE, here are my hands down, been using for the last 2 years, Beautycounter faves. (P.S. Here's the deal. If I don't have this at all times, I'm not a happy camper. Smells amazing, feels amazing, and is probably the product I've been using the longest.
2. Body Wash
All day ERRYDAY, y'all. I mean, I don't shower all day. That would be impractical and kinda awkward. But every time I DO shower, I use this body wash. Every. Darn. Time.
Y'all. This honestly scared me a little. Mainly because I was afraid I'd look like I was ready to go to a rave or something. And hang on while I stop laughing because SHERRI AT A RAVE is about the last thing that will ever happen in life. Unless the rave involves laying in my bed and reading my kindle. Regardless, a drop of this, mixed with my hydrating body lotion and I actually look a little glowy. I will TAKE IT.
Okay, so this is basically a magical cream that takes off your makeup, while cleansing and hydrating your face. I don't understand how it works, but I just know it makes my skin feel like a baby's bottom. And I ain't mad about it.
Mamas, can we all just agree that sunscreening children is one of the most annoying tasks of motherhood? It's like applying sunscreen to a small, wiggly, baby alligator. This makes it as easy as it's gonna get, y'all. And you can rest assured that you aren't spreading toxins all over your baby gator.
This mask (from what I understand) pulls out all the nasty gunk that gets down in our pores. And I like that. BUT, guess what it also does?? It spot treats my breakouts that pop up from time to time, EVEN THOUGH I AM IN MY 30'S, AND A MOTHER, AND OH I DON'T KNOW, NOT GOING THROUGH PUBERTY.
