Part II - Fall Fashion Trends To Consider In 2022

Today, I am excited to bring you another blog including more details on different fall trends and styles you can participate in. The fall time brings such an exciting vibe because of the many different activities going on whether it’s with your school, work or just events with your friends! So in order to consider what types of outfits you might be picking for the upcoming fall season, it’s important to contemplate what kind of events you will be going to.

One of the most popular fall events, especially down in the south, is football season (GO DAWGS). Three months of weekly games, meaning three months of fall outfit trends you can show off each weekend! Whether you are a mom going to your son’s football games on Friday nights, or taking a day to visit your favorite college campus tailgates, what you wear is crucial in enjoying the day!

One of the cutest outfit trends for football games revolves around customized denim jackets. Are you looking for a little DIY project? Go to your local craft store and grab a few packs of jewels in your team colors and fabric glue, it’s time to get creative! On the back of a denim jacket, line up your jewels to form whatever number your player is as if you’re making a jersey. At the top where the name typically goes, this is up to you to be creative and put whatever you desire! You could make it to say their last name or maybe even “John’s Mom” would be cute! Whichever option you pick, you know you’re set to look good and feel good. You could pair this with a simple black or white top, as well as your favorite pair of jeans and sneakers to stay comfortable for all 4 quarters! If you aren’t wanting to make your own jacket, there are plenty of small businesses you could support on sites like Etsy and Instagram. I have linked a few places you could get inspiration from or directly support by purchasing a custom jacket!

Another option for game-day outfits is keeping it simple with a solid romper jumpsuit. Depending on what time the game will be played, it could still be pretty warm out. In this case, opt for a long-sleeved romper or bring along a sweater for when the sun sets. While we may disagree on our favorite football teams, we can all agree on wanting to be comfortable and stylish as we watch our teams! The best part is that even your little one can try out these trends too. Check out this adorable bubble romper for kids up to 24 months old.

A clear bag is one important item to always be sure to carry with any and all of your game-day outfits. While most high school stadiums might not require this, many college campuses do. Always know the guidelines of the stadium you’re planning on attending to prepare yourself and your family! Clear bags don’t have to be boring. If you’re still feeling crafty, get those jewels back out and glue on a few jewels in a design! No other bag in the stadium will look like yours, and maybe you could even give these as gifts to your friends for the upcoming holidays. Office holiday parties and family get-togethers will be here before we know it.

Speaking of parties, maybe you are planning a Halloween party this fall. What are you planning on wearing? If you’re not really the costume type, don’t worry, there are still festive outfits for you to choose from.

  • As mentioned in the last blog, brown is definitely the popular color for fall in regard to makeup, and definitely the same for outfits! Try pairing a brown long sleeve shirt with a dress over top in order to create the perfect fall outfit. This incorporates the layering trend, as well as mixing brown into your outfit.

Or maybe you’re planning on going to the pumpkin patch with your family. This is a great opportunity to take great family photos, so be sure to pick your favorite outfit. One cute outfit for this occasion is a simple sweater and jeans with booties. One way to spice up this outfit is by adding a cute hat or beanie! A few colors that are ideal with pumpkin patches are ones like maroon, mustard, brown, olive, cream and black. These are great simple fall colors that go with essentially everything!

In the next blog, I will be talking all about shoes, fall must-haves and other accessories. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you are able to take inspiration from these trends and make it your own! Be sure to stay tuned for my next post and keep in touch on social media
