For our last blog for now on fall trends, I wanted to focus on a few key details like shoes, hats and other trendy accessories. We have looked into a lot of different outfit ideas in the last two blogs, so let’s go off of those and personalize it a little more today. To recap a little, I talked about how different fall events may change your outfit plans. A few events in mind that could influence your style this fall are football games, tailgates, holiday parties and even just a quick trip to the pumpkin patch. Even though it is officially fall, it may be a few more weeks before it truly feels cool outside.
Something you may not realize until it’s too late is how important comfort is for the various fall outings you will be going to. For example, football games are normally accompanied by a lot of walking. Especially if you are going to any college game, you will likely have to park a decent distance away from the stadium and make the trek. In order to fully enjoy the day, be sure to account for having comfortable shoes. Comfort doesn’t have to mean boring! You can still be content in showing off your trendy style.

Speaking of boots, let’s talk about the obvious trend of the year: cowboy boots. Whether you are a fan or not, you can admit that they are insanely popular and are continuing to gain attention as the temperature drops. You may be wondering where this trend even made its start, and that is a valid question! Let’s take it all the way back to the beginning to find out how these shoes started. Cowboy boots were invented around the mid-1800s for cowboys to protect and keep the foot firmly anchored in the stirrups while riding. The boots still serve this purpose well and have only improved from there. Some of the first to wear cowboy boots, or similar shoes, were the Spanish vaqueros. They were located around Texas and Mexico to herd cattle, and then a lot of their transitions and work methods spread north to different generations.
In today’s time, one person who comes to mind when thinking of the modern-day cowboy boot trend is Kacey Musgraves. She’s been rocking the cowboy boots for years now, and has mentioned them in many of her hit songs. And according to the number of views the hashtag “CowboyBoots” has gotten on TikTok, nearly 380 million views, it definitely is a trend to look out for.
So how do you style cowboy boots this fall? One way is to add color to your outfit. If you are wearing a plain dress, maybe spice it up with a pair of pink cowboy boots! This look is great for outdoor concerts and any football games you may be going to this fall.
